OPERATIONAL PROCESS
& CUSTOMER JOURNEY

  1. 01 providing shipment information
  2. 02 approving the quotation
  3. 03 providing documentation
  4. 04 confirming necessary requirements
  5. 05 receiving shipment updates
  6. 06 supporting customs requirements when necessary
  7. 07 confirming final delivery

The process begins when the customer submits a shipment inquiry, providing the necessary details such as origin, destination, commodity, cargo dimensions and weight, container or truck requirements, and preferred shipping dates.

Verna Logistics then reviews the shipment requirements and obtains the most suitable transportation options, considering available shipping lines or carriers, routing, transit time, equipment availability, and cost. These options are presented to the customer, who selects and approves the preferred quotation.

Following approval, Verna Logistics confirms the booking and coordinates the shipment arrangements with the relevant shipping line, carrier, transporter, and other logistics partners. At this stage, the customer is responsible for providing all required shipping and customs documentation.

Once the shipment is in transit, Verna Logistics follows the shipment and keeps the customer informed of important updates, including departure, expected arrival, documentation requirements, and any significant operational changes or delays.

Upon arrival, Verna Logistics coordinates the required port, customs, clearance, and transportation procedures, depending on the agreed scope of service. The customer may be required to provide additional documents, approvals, or payments when requested by customs or other authorities.

The final stage is delivery to the agreed destination. Upon successful delivery, the customer or consignee signs the Proof of Delivery (POD), confirming receipt of the shipment.

Customer involvement: The customer is mainly involved in providing shipment information → approving the quotation → providing documentation → confirming necessary requirements → receiving shipment updates → supporting customs requirements when necessary → confirming final delivery.

The objective of Verna Logistics is to manage and coordinate the logistics process on behalf of the customer while maintaining clear communication throughout the shipment journey.
